Below is a rough list of upcoming projects/business openings in greater Dumaguete for 2013; more will be added as soon as new information is available:
1. 100 million pesos worth of tourist roads leading to the following attractions: Twin Lakes, Crystal Cave, Nalundan/Casaroro Falls and the Japanese Shrine - roads
2. The city's 2nd bingo parlor is u/c at the former Fhu Garden, LP Hypermart
3. Necy's Restobar is constructing a new bldg; the old structure will be demolished to make way for a Mandaue Foam showroom.
4. U/C Uymatiao commercial complex - Silliman Ave. corner Ma. Cristina St.
5. new seaside apartment in Bacong called Sunny Sea Residence - bacong apt
6. a new wing at the SPI Global complex recently opened
7. Cafe Noriter is moving to the bldg just across the old site; it will be renamed "2 Story Kitchen"
8. Gobonseng-owned hotel is U/C beside Labeled, Flores Ave.
9. the old Uymatiao-owned bldg at E. Surban St. corner Veterans Ave., formerly occupied by Virgie's Grocery, Sylmart and Odessa Marketing will be demolished and replaced with a newer structure
10. Robinsons Perdices will open sometime in June
11. 14th Cebuana Lhuillier branch to open soon at the former Anabelle Jean's Cafe
12. BDO 3 and Asia United Bank will open in April; the construction of Metrobank 3 [former Toyota satellite showroom at Victoria Residence Condo] will commence soon; Philtrust Bank's building is expected to rise this year at their Veterans Ave.-Silliman Ave. corner lot; Producers Bank and Maybank are also expected to open in 2013.
13. Bravo Golf Hotel's expansion is set to open this month
14. Ceres RORO terminal in Ajong, Sibulan for Mindanao-bound buses is u/c
15. large Filoil fuel depot U/C in Amlan
16. continued construction of the 6-storey Sierra condotel at Piapi
17. 3 new gasoline stations will be built soon at: Daro beside the road going to Cimafranca Subd.; South Road Calindagan beside the road going to City High; St. Paul's crossing fronting RM Guesthouse
18. 2 new motorcycle showrooms opened: Transcycle in Bantayan and Premio/Desmark across SLS Don Bosco
19. Lingkod Pinoy Center U/C near the RPD foodcourt [SSS, Pag-ibig and Philhealth]
20. the former Mamia restaurant at Rizal Blvd., now owned by Lee Plaza is under renovation and will probably be made into another restaurant
21. Ibiza Lounge opened beside Flamin Grill
22. new KTV bar U/C at JEV Business Center, Hibbard Ave.
23. major life insurance companies opening soon: Manulife at Yala Bldg.; AXA Life at the 2nd flr of Metrobank Main; Malayan Insurance at an undisclosed location
24. Islands Souvenirs Dgte opening this April
25. Shaper painless liposuction center - Dumaguete's first, opened at Yala
26. Manhattan Suites Inn now open
