Neva's Pizza

Sorry, I just have one photo of this restaurant. Neva's is the pioneer budget pizza parlor in the city and is a favorite among the young crowd. I've dined there probably once many years back and I couldn't remember how the food tasted. Pls. check out this blog: No Sense of Direction - Neva's Pizza for more photos.

Likha

Likha is a gourmet restaurant located at South Sea Resort and Hotel in Brgy. Bantayan, just a short distance from Hibbard Avenue. The restaurant offers the same menu as Kri - both are owned and operated by a US-trained chef (the family also owns the hotel and other resorts in the greater Dumaguete area). The photos above are all from their official blog: http://southseahotel.wordpress.com/likha-restaurant/.

Sta. Teresa Restaurant, Hibbard Ave.

This is the main branch of Sta. Teresa Restaurant, located in a primarily residential area of the city. It is spacious and looks like a fine dining restaurant except the food is what you'd find in mall foodcourts - nothing fancy nor pricey. Here's the article on its downtown branch: http://dumagueteinformer.blogspot.com/2012/09/a-new-branch-of-sta-teresa-restaurant.html.

iLeisure Cafe

London and NY symbols adorn the wall

the restaurant and the hotel in general exudes a youthful and trendy vibe

spicy fried wings

herbed porkchops

iLeisure Cafe is the restaurant of Islands Leisure Hotel, a small boutique lodge on Hibbard Ave. It caters mostly to guests because not many people know about this newly-opened establishment. The restaurant is hip, ultra-clean, colorful and private, perfect for people who want to avoid crowds. The food is good although the menu is limited. Soon I'll be posting a separate entry on the hotel itself.

Restaurant at Royal Suite Inn

Sparsely-decorated interiors but who cares when you get excellent food.

oreo cheesecake

strawberry cheesecake

blueberry cheesecake

mocha cheesecake

Peruvian steak -- ask the waiter to skip the roasted garlic garnish; without it, the dish is phenomenal :)

This is the restaurant of Royal Suite Inn, a small hotel in Brgy. Bantayan. They create what's definitely the creamiest, most sinful cakes in the city. The restaurant however is best known for its delicious sizzling bulalo -- a large shank of beef on a hot plate.

Gabby's Bistro

coffee, chocolate, slushies, tea...you name it, they have it

gas up here!

a slab of juicy grilled salmon

Gabby's Bistro is an American-style diner located in a hotel complex at the north end of the city. They serve burgers, sandwiches, steaks, fish dishes, pizza, pancakes -- yeah, practically everything. The restaurant has one of the biggest menus in Dumaguete and is a popular spot for the young crowd and tourists. Prices are fair & portions are large. I've eaten too many dishes here that no particular one comes to mind as a favorite :). Enjoy checking out the quirky interiors --- model planes hanging from the ceiling, a vintage gas pump and other American pop culture posters and trinkets. Binge at Gabby's Bistro @ Florentina Homes along Rovira Rd., Brgy. Bantayan.

Poppy Coffee and Cupcakes

Cupcake lovers call Poppy heaven. It's obviously hell for diabetics :). I come here for my flavored Italian soda fix and the occasional oreo or red velvet cupcake. Just one cupcake at a time though, I can't take the sugar overload :). Wifi is free and it has become the favorite coffee shop of Korean expats and students of Silliman looking for a stress-free spot to study. Find Poppy at the Portal West building.
