I'll have more on this new restaurant along the city's famed seaside thoroughfare -- Rizal Boulevard. Sans Rival, as we know, isn't new to Dumaguete. The maker of what's arguably the most scrumptious silvanas and sans rival in the country is practically an institution this side of the archipelago. The company continues to expand, adding this well-appointed gourmand haven to its roster of pastry shops & restaurants (located inside the refurbished Teves-Sagarbarria mansion, one of the old Spanish-era sugar palaces along the strip, just a few meters from the first shop). I had chicken cacciatore & flavor-packed paella during this trip.
