Dong Juan

If I heard one of the chatty waiters right, these whimsical paintings were done by an up-and-coming Cebuano painter

Dong Juan, at the alfresco area of Robinsons Place, is the newest Cebuano restaurant franchise to hit the city. As the name implies, the menu is a fusion of Filipino and Western staples and by the looks of it, is another successful venture by the same group of young entrepreneurs that brought to us two other popular Cebu restaurants -- Hukad sa Golden Cowrie and Moon Cafe. Must tries include their seaweed soup, thin crust pizzas, mozzarella sticks and my new favorite beverage -- calamansi-strawberry blush :). Yum!
