Miren Froyo

blueberry

topped with mangoes and raspberry glaze, perfect mix!

I'm a frozen yogurt buff. There's just something about this sweet & tangy dessert that draws me. In fact, I'm an addict -- spending a hefty portion of my paycheck (worked in Cebu for 3 and a half years) on as many as 10 cups a week :). Dumaguete's first froyo shop, Tangy Swirl, opened at Portal West but folded after a year or two. The city's food scene was much less vibrant those days and people never got used to the expensive and sour 'ice cream'.

Rana Verde used to serve froyo too but used bland-tasting yogurt premix. The Australian froyo of Creamee D-Lite (at Robinsons Place) proved to be more successful. Much to my delight, Lab-as seafood restaurant (in Brgy. Piapi) took a franchise of Miren Froyo last August.  They set up a stall right outside the restaurant & I've been a regular since then :).
