Cafe Laguna is one of Cebu's most popular native Filipino restaurants. Don't let the upscale interiors fool you, the prices are fair. Cafe Laguna is Filipino food at its refined best. I have yet to try other items on the menu but their kare-kare (ox tripe and tail in peanut sauce), deep-fried chicken, baked scallops and kaldereta (tomato-based beef stew) are divine :). For fine Pinoy dining, head to this restaurant's Dumaguete branch at the first level of Hotel Nicanor, San Jose St.
